About Us

In 2021, after years of re-envisioning, the leadership of Sunset Ridge Church of Christ empowered a group of people to move outside of the church walls and into the neighborhood to reimagine what it means for a church to be a good neighbor. We began listening sessions, created park plans, partnered with a coffee trailer, and hosted community gatherings to work for the flourishing of one another and our neighborhood.

We are rooted in this particular place—this Sunset Ridge neighborhood and Sunset Ridge Church community. To us, the word collective means a group of people working together—all using our unique gifts for the flourishing of one another and our neighborhood. Our current initiatives will stay the same and continue to grow through Charis Park at Sunset Ridge, One Another Coffee, a commercial kitchen and coworking space, along with fresh utilization of our spaces for small businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, and a nature based preschool.
